Amy Harding
Director of Services and Impact
“Teenage cancer trust has been delivering care and support to improve the quality of life for young people with cancer for over 20 years. It’s a huge privilege to be part of this amazing team, striving to do more for young people.”
My role
My role is to provide leadership in the services and impact team, who work to provide young people with support, care and advice, before, during and after a cancer diagnosis. Our service offers range from digital support, direct and indirect peer support as well as funding specialist NHS staff to provide clinical expertise and psychosocial support. We also provide age appropriate hospital spaces for young people with cancer as well as advocating for young people through our policy, public affairs and campaigning work.
Teenage Cancer Trust and me
I joined Teenage cancer trust in 2007, having previously trained and worked as a Children’s cancer nurse at Birmingham Children’s hospital. The difference Teenage Cancer Trust makes to young people with cancer is massive and being able to play a part in that really motivates me. Ive been fortunate to have many different roles at Teenage Cancer Trust and been given many opportunities to grow and develop, the most recent one being in this role, providing maternity cover this year.
