One week before Christmas 2020 Maxim was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called CNS lymphoma on the brain. No-one expects a cancer diagnosis for Christmas. Especially when you’re only 18. He was admitted into hospital the same day and spent the Christmas period on a Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Addenbrooke’s.
