Autumn fundraising ideas

As the leaves begin to turn and the nights draw in, plan some fundraising fun with colleagues, friends and family to brighten spirits and raise loads of cash!

Hurray for Halloween

Throw a ghoulish party, hold a pumpkin carving contest, organise a spooky sponsored walk… the perilous possibilities are endless. There are plenty of fun ways to organise a Halloween fundraiser and raise money for a great cause during the spooky season.

Spice up your life

If your friends love a curry, offer to cook up a feast and ask them to donate the amount they would usually spend on a takeaway or restaurant meal. Or hold a curry cooking challenge at work – charge colleagues to taste the entries.

Firework fun

Invite your friends or colleagues over for Bonfire Night or Diwali (making sure you stay safe). Charge for entry or for warming refreshments such as soup or hot chocolate.

Autumn leaves

Make the most of the beautiful autumn leaves – organise a photography contest to capture the stunning colours, then offer to sweep them up for your neighbours, in exchange for a donation.

Ready, steady, bake

As the temperature starts to drop, fire up the oven! Hold a ‘bake off’ contest or charity bake sale with colleagues or friends, or a good old fashioned coffee morning.

Gain an hour, give an hour

As the clocks go back an hour in autumn and we get an extra hour for free, consider giving an hour’s salary to Teenage Cancer Trust. If you and all your colleagues or friends did the same, it would make a huge difference. Click here to get involved.

Feeling fiendish?

Spooky fun isn’t just for Halloween – if you love fancy dress and things that go bump in the night, organise a murder mystery night for family and friends, or turn your home into a haunted house and give terrifying tours, in return for a donation to get out alive…
