How streaming for charity helps
I’m Aidan, and when I was 15, I was diagnosed with leukaemia. While being treated at a Teenage Cancer Trust ward, the staff arranged for two of my friends to visit me in hospital, so I was able to play FIFA with them.
Teenage Cancer Trust were there for me, not just with the physical side of cancer, but with the emotional side of things too.

On the day
- Take on a gaming marathon! Get together with your mates for a FIFA face off or stream an epic solo gaming session
- Just chatting
- Host a quiz
- Arts and crafts
Remember you don’t need to do your challenge all in one go. You can split up the time over a few days or weeks!
Whatever you choose, every minute of your gaming challenge can help change the future for young people like Aidan.
Check out our tips from other Teenage Cancer Trust streamers:
- Take plenty of regular breaks from the computer - give your eyes a break away from the screen, at least for a few minutes every hour
- Stay hydrated - drink plenty of water
- Eat well - make sure you have some healthy snacks to eat throughout.
- Get up, stretch and move around – we advise every hour!
- Be sensible with your challenge length – if you’re going solo, you could split your timed challenge across a few days, or share the challenge with others.
- If you’re not feeling well, stop the challenge – even if you’ve committed to more hours, stop the challenge and look after yourself.
You can pick any time or date that suits you. And remember that you don’t have to do your stream all in one go, you can split up the time over a few days or weeks!
Whether you’re a casual PC gamer, Switch gamer, a board game player or anything in between – you can still play games for good!
