“Being diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 37, at a time when I still thought I was far too young, brought me closer to the hugely important work of the charity.”
I always knew I wanted to work in advertising - I was fascinated by the power of language and ideas.
I became a trustee because I had the experience, both personal and professional, that led me to believe that I could make a difference to Teenage Cancer Trust. The people who work there are among the most talented and professional I’ve ever met, and I want to be able to use my skills to help them achieve our goals.
I was fiercely independent as a teenager and later diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 37, at a time when I still thought I was far too young to get cancer. This has brought me closer to the hugely important work of the charity.
